Held at Quark's Bar in the Star Trek Experience, Las Vegas Hilton

Conversa hosted the launch of their Developer's Network during Comdex at Quark's Bar in the Star Trek Experience at the Las Vegas Hilton.  Eight Star Trek personalities, several of whom are investor's in Conversa, were on hand to celebrate the event.  Acme Internet is currently participating in Conversa's web development kit beta program.

"I just flew in from the Delta Quadrant and boy...
...are my arms tired!"

"Captain Janeway"

Kate says she's a PC user.  I congratulated her on her wise choice of computing platforms.

Julie & Levar

Levar Burton
"Geordi"

Levar uses a Mac and Netscape. Yuck!  I use Windows NT and Internet Explorer.  An O/S holy war ensued and we finally agreed to disagree.  I explained that any computer with a mouse with only one mouse button is a kid's toy.  He insisted that soon we won't even need a mouse or a keyboard to interface with our computers.  Okay - I can agree with that.  Just ask Conversa.  Levar seemed to know the most about computers of all the Star Trek people.  He impressed me.  A very, very smart guy despite the fact he uses a dumb computer! ;)

James Doohan
"Scotty"

What a sweetheart.  A genuinely warm and friendly guy.  Everyone at Conversa affectionately refers to him as "Jimmy".  One of the original investor's in Conversa.

Ivan & Nichelle

Nichelle Nichols
"Uhura"

The life of the party!  Very gregarious and outgoing.  I absolutely loved her leopard print gown.  Says Ivan: "I don't know what kind of perfume she was wearing, but boy did she smell great!"
