Quite frankly, Microsoft® FrontPage® Server Extensions are most compatible with Windows-based Web servers.  While you can host a site created with Microsoft® FrontPage® on most Web servers, hosting it on a Windows Server running IIS allows you to take full advantage of every feature Microsoft FrontPage has to offer including: database capabilities, Active Server Pages, enhanced security and more.  Yes, we love UNIX too  - but when it comes to hosting a Microsoft® FrontPage® created Web site - take advantage of all those little extras - choose Windows-based hosting.
