Acme Internet™ is proud to announce the recently completed construction
of our new data center.

Creating an environment to host our customer's
valuable data and web services was one task we simply couldn't bear to outsource
to some generic Telco or large corporate provider. Sure, there are some
good ones - but there are some really bad ones too. We weren't willing to
take any chances to save a few bucks.
It's common knowledge that any upstart company can "rent" space in someone
else's facility and offer cut-rate Internet service. Why not? It's less work, less
expensive and there is very little financial or mental investment required.
But it's just not the same.
What true Internet Provider could resist the
opportunity to build their ultimate server room? Certainly not any of our
network staff at Acme Internet!
It
takes an especially ambitious and committed ISP to insist on
building their own facility from the ground up.
It takes a lot of work too.
Over twelve months of planning and four months of construction
dust went into creating an optimal home for our customer's valuable web sites
and Internet services.
Here are a few of the benefits that our customers have gained as
a result...
-
High availability connectivity
Serviced by multiple redundant DS3/ATM backbone connections with Full BGP
Routing.
-
Internet Nirvana
Our strategic location in the Midwest (Minneapolis/St. Paul Metro Area) is
considered by some as the best of both worlds. Halfway between the East
and West Coasts, Acme Internet services customers in nearly all 50 states and
dozens of foreign countries. Comfortably away from the presence of
routine rolling blackouts, we're known for our friendly demeanor, indisputable
work ethic (half the year it's too cold to skip work to go golfing!) and
exceptionally industrious technical abilities.
Plus, according to our company's Director of Network Operations - our
centrally located Internet Backbone connection kicks butt. :)
-
Secure climate controlled environment
Equipped with digitally monitored and logged access control at all entry
points, Infrared motion detection and video surveillance. An operator
dispatched local UL Central Monitoring Station monitors the system 24x7.
In addition, a 24-hour guard service watches the
entire building.
-
Building is serviced by two Telco fiber providers
-
24x7 SNMP monitoring
Engineers with on-site, hands on access to our equipment are notified of network status via
voice PCS, email and digital pager.
