ISP / Web Hosting Support  (FT/PT)

Acme Internet, a Microsoft Certified Partner, is a fast moving ISP/ASP specializing in providing high end Web hosting services.

We are seeking self-motivated individuals with excellent problem solving skills to provide quality customer service and technical support to our rapidly growing base of Web hosting customers.

Responsibilities include:

• Logging and tracking support requests via phone and email
• Following support and service requests through to resolution
• Facilitating Domain Name Transfers from other ISPs/Domain Registrars from start to completion
• Assist customers in configuring Web browser, Web publishing and email software over the phone
• Document and maintain FAQ's and Support Knowledge Base based on frequency of questions in Help Desk
• Route incoming sales calls to appropriate individual.

Requirements / Skills needed:

• Self-starter, Ability to work without direct supervision
• Attention to detail
• Strong customer service skills
• Strong troubleshooting/problem solving skills
• Familiarly with Internet protocols, tools and software such as: PING, TRACERT, WHOIS, NSLOOKUP, FTP, TELNET, SMTP, Internet Explorer, Netscape, various email and FTP clients
• Good understanding of Microsoft software: Win XP/2000, Microsoft Office and Microsoft® FrontPage® a plus
• Able to learn new software and applications quickly, willingness to work with Beta software when available
• Excellent verbal, written and spelling skills
• Able to clearly and logically document support requests that require escalation to a Network Engineer
• Comfortable with multi-line telephone systems
• Ability to speak clearly on the telephone
